I get the logic obviously, but I honestly think the committee doesn't take the conference tourney results very seriously. More than anything else, making the final and winning the dang thing moves the needle.

I guess the gamble of a getting a high quality win over Creighton outweighs the certainty of a path to the championship game (in my opinion).
