can’t wait for the games. Long day but worth it for SJU-MU and UConn-Creighton. The four regular season games between these teams were all highly competitive, well played games.

Good matchup of styles also. Probably the best semi finals the Be could hope for this year.

Agreed, some terrific Friday night semis tonight at the Gawhden. That's another upside of the higher seeds holding serve.

As much as it pains me I’m rooting for St. John’s. If we can win tonight a win against St. John’s tomorrow will carry much more weight with the selection committee. Plus I want payback for the 2 losses to them.

Shaka is crashing out hard on the sideline. Wonder what Hurley said that was so bad last night to get a tech while Shaka isn't

The thing that is gonna bite Sju in the ass though is their ft shooting. People keep talking about the 3pt shooting but good teams can make it far without it. Missing ft means you aren’t extending leads or worse when you’re down not cutting into them with the clock not moving.

This he is like th UConn-St John's game at Gampel. UConn/Marquette start the game hot and are up 14/15 pts only for St. John's to comeback and take the lead.

St. John's is a terrific team. With that being said, they get away with a lot of fouls that are called against other teams. Lots of bumps going to the basket, bodying guys up, etc. I am Shaka, lots of fouls not getting called. It will be interesting how they are officiated in the Tournament and if it becomes like Pittsburgh used to be--they get away with that play in the Big East but called for tons of fouls in the Tournament.

We don’t seem to get away with those fouls in our games. Marquette has to quit turning it over.

I would agree 100% on both--Marquette has to stop turning it over and play clean, and UConn would never get away with this kind of play. Any bump on a drive is called against UConn. Tonight, Creighton will be called for minimal fouls. You can bank on that. Question will be how do they officiate UConn.

Rick Pitino looks like he'll try to sell you the most expensive coffin.
There's something screwy going on with his face, likely due to a face lift or three.

At the game - Zubi is an animal, plays so hard and so disruptive around the rim. If we could get Tarris playing even 80% of how hard and active he plays, he’d be AA. When he goes to post up he scraps like a rabid dog to get position. He’s such a tone setter and the heartbeat of the teams toughness. He’s going to destroy the BE next year.

I don’t see Marquette having any chance down the stretch. You can feel StJ physicality starting to overwhelm Marquette late.

Marquette never had a chance when they were up 15 in the first half. If St. John's could shoot ft's they could win it all.

Pitino grabbing Richmond off Seton hall who won the NIT with him last year was quite the move. Trying to stop drives by Luis and then Richmond is what makes SJU so hard to stop. I wonder who Pitino will try and grab off a BE roster this offseason?
