Ok not the "best" or maybe even good. However, I remember dancing to it with one of my first girlfriends. Probably first one I ever danced with....in someone's basement party.
1:30 Intro! Hard to believe that these world-weary words could be written by teenaged composer Aaron Strayhorn at 19 y.o. in 1933. Great voice! Great Musicians! 1961 Recording.
That version is a little upbeat for a slow song. Laura Branigan did a slower version that is better to dance to but its about some girl wondering if the guy really loves her or is she just a "moments pleasure". Not too good for slow dancing with someone you really like, but I love the song.
Roy had the voice, vocal range, some of the best songs ever and if he had had rocker good looks he might have been the best ....
(LEAH still gives me chills.)
