Hi everyone,

Figured we could use a bracket... so came up with a best of Connecticut sports bracket. 4 regions - UConn, Coaching, Born in CT, and Best of the Rest. Voting will last for 24 hours on my podcast Twitter page -- CT Scoreboard Podcast (@CTScoreboardPod) | Twitter

The play-in matchups are happening today:
UConn - Tage Thompson vs. Nick Ahmed
Coaching - Bob Diaco vs. Paul Pasqualoni
Born in CT - Tom Thibodeau vs. Steve Addazio
Best of the Rest- Joe D vs. Jeff Jacobs

This bracket loses all credibility to me based on the fact that Jim Calhoun is a 2 seed.

If nothing crazy happens I see it being Geno vs. Jim at the end anyways so figured seeding wasn't that key here.

Steve Young? John Sulivan? New England wrestling champion and center for the rams in the super bowl? I don't know that Lamar Odom should be on the bracket considering he only played one year of high school basketball in CT.

Willie Pep is a 7th seed in a bracket where the 2 seed is Lindsay Whalen. No Marlon Starling but Jonquil Jones. Jonquil Jones? I'm gonna pass on this.

My bad on leaving out some older players - tried to keep pretty modern with some guys like Pep thrown in. Should've included some more

Cool thing to do but your seeding is a mess, with guys like Pep, Camby, Freeney, Young, Calhoun way too low and why are guys like Lendl and Odom on the list?

Lendl's lived in Connecticut for decades. But no Jenner or Hamill in that bracket?

Sorry I appreciated the thought of the game. As a CT guy just would love to see guys who grew up and succeeded from our state. Still very cool ;)
