Wished Yale had taken better care of its course. Too late for me.

I contain multitudesI don’t hate all people. Just the ones like you.
Yes, Pine Valley is a bear, unseen pot bunkers everywhere along with barren pines, much like Pinehurst. Speaking of #2, I'd take the Fazzio #6 as much fairer, away from the main club with great terrain. A friend, who formerly worked at the Courant, acquired two condos at Pinehurst with money he had received in a buyout. We were able to play several of these fine courses including nearby Foxfire.I was planning to make a snarky comment…what no one’s played Pine Valley…and then this post. Lol. Was it as fabulous as it’s reported? I’d just like to see it.
The neighbors would rather it turn into a nature reserve. Heard they are taking down a lot of trees aligning with the original design intent, stretching it out... Hope you get to play it after the restoration takes hold and let people know what you think.Agree played it quite a few times it’s nothing great at all, history is all it has Idaho!

Also love Taconic, the home course of Williams College in Williamstown, MA. I played some high school golf on that course. It has beautiful terrain. Nickolus won the US Amateur there which I witnessed back in the 50's.
Pinehurst No. 6 is a lot of fun but a bit remote from the main club so not as well known. My in-laws used to live in the house behind the 14th green but thankfully it was across the street so no airmailed shots hit the house lol.Yes, Pine Valley is a bear, unseen pot bunkers everywhere along with barren pines, much like Pinehurst. Played it last year on a beautiful late October day around 70*. Glad I didn’t walk it.Taconic good call. Only played it once and left it off my list in error. It’s a wonderful track I’d suggest anyone who has a chance to play there make sure to get it done.
Yup, all I wanted was to make sure that I wasn’t in there. Ended up getting a birdie on that hole.Played all of these.
Old Head visually is my #1 but wasn’t the most challenging test.
Ballybunion was amazing. That first tee ball you’re hoping you don’t cut/slice one into the cemetery.
The question was supposed to be if anyone can remember it?A question for any older Ct. natives. The best 9 hole course that I have ever played wasn't really very far from Storrs - Pomfret CC run by the French family. Right now a bird sanctuary. My grandfather was a multiple club champion in the '30s.
