Best Bars to watch UConn Games?

They did, but it was very quiet. Yes, I was at the Stamford location.

It's worth a shot, but just as a disclaimer, in general, I do not enjoy watching UConn games (or any game I'm seriously interested in) at bars/restaurants. I'm more of a solo and/or watch with one or two friends who are equally invested.

Agree, but I do enjoy watching big games at a bar with some roudiness. Will probably end up there on Saturday

Anything in the Monroe - Fairfield area? I’ll be watching with 2 high school buddies who are Xavier alumni, so want to make sure they’re overwhelmed.
They’re in Ffld county, me Hartford. I don’t want to drive to Stamford.

At TK's in Danbury we should have a decent crowd for the Xavier game despite the early tip off. Game will be on the big screen w/ volume as always. Husky fans wearing UConn gear pay .02c (our current rank) for every other beer!

I went to the "new" Bobby V's once and it felt like Buffalo Wild wings with 300 tvs all on top of each other and they completely scaled back the menu. Wasnt a fan but that was back in 2015.

Bobby Vs is dreadful

It's kinda microcosm of what Stamford has become. Tear down anything with character and build some generic luxurious soulless place. That's what it felt like, like being in a casino. All the sports memorabilia charm is gone. Just set up for people to bet.

There's a new sports bar in the Rochambeau Mall in the Milldale section of Southington (formerly The Tipping Chair). Lots of screens & good tv sound. THEY WILL have the sound on of the game most patrons are watching.

If you’re in the Valley, I highly recommend Porky’s in Shelton. Lots of TVs, great wings, they know how to rip

Pretty much every time I've been at Porkys, party favors were readily available for purchase

I respect it and have a tinge of envy too. It sounds like fun, but I can't watch UConn games at bars, parties, gatherings, whatever. I either have to be at the game, or I have to be home . I won't invite people over, I won't watch with family members at their place. I can't do it. I'm too wound up.

I often wonder what it would be like to watch a high stakes game at a bar with like minded UConn fans. Probably fun to get pumped up Rowdy, drunk, and all that. But then it wouldn't be fun because at some stressful moment I would probably put a cigarette out in one your eyes (and let's face it, I'd probably be justified) and that would be real bad form socially. At least I recognize my shortcomings and allow others to have a good time by not going.

I was at a bar for Tate's game. One of the best days in my life. Very rarely have I experienced universal joy like that. With beer.

Of course, same place two days later and everyone is staggering out like Steve McQueen at the end of The Cincinnati Kid.

I'm the same way. There's pacing, cursing at the refs, cursing to no one in particular, high fiving the wife who is knitting or sewing, but I'm way too keyed up to even eat. Can drink.

I have friends who won't watch away games in public. They go too nuts. I don't care about going nuts in public, so I will watch anywhere. I am great about tuning everything out and just watching the game. I had some friends and family over for the Zaga game and I basically ignored them all once the ball was tipped.
