I don't think Rashad used the backboard once during any one of his 3-pt makes in his UConn career.

Ben and Rashard are 1A and 1B. They were on the court at the same time, how could you defend that team? All you young ones, go to UConn games .com and watch the 2004 elite 8 game vs Alabama. May have been the most dominating game in our history.
They were both so good that the fact Taliek couldn't really shoot barely if ever mattered.

Yeah, it's Ben and Rashad for me. Albie and Fair were both terrific shooters. Niels was also great his senior year. It's Ben and Rashad though. Ben was maybe more consistent but nobody made as many big clutch daggers in big games at big times than Shad. When he got hot it was like we were never out of any game. Duke in final 4 in 2004, Washington in sweet 16 in 06, the whole Bama game in the elite 8 was absurd in 04 tourney. Gottfried looked like he ate bad shellfish by the end of that one.

Its Ben, simply because he was almost always on and he was clutch. He had a pretty and effective shot.

Rashad was off sometimes because he had unorthodox form. However, I still vote him second due to his clutch performances and fearlessness. He also shot a good percentage so obviously, his good days outnumbered the bad.

Shabazz was particularly good his senior year. You have to love all the bombs in the NCAA tournament. Every time we seemed to lose momentum, he'd pull up from 25' and stop the bleeding.

I remember a color guy once describing Albie Mouring as a gym teacher’s jumpshot and a librarian’s disposition.

The dude could straight up SHOOT.
I believe Albert Mourning is the single season FT % leader
When you consider the the great FT shooters that have played for UConn
that’s a pretty huge deal.

In terms of clutchness, difficulty, and overall percentage, I think Shabazz barely edges out Ben and Rashad.

Rashad absolutely hit tons of huge shots. But more than Bazz? I'm not so sure! Ben's % and production is stellar, but Shabazz had so much less talent around him, shot almost exclusively off the dribble, and played after they moved the 3 point line back slightly.

You could make a good case for like 5 or 6 guys but I think Shabazz has the slight edge.

Smitty was awesome and very smooth. I actually debated choosing him. I most appreciated the great shooters that could get themselves open like Ben and Bazz. I remember Smitty shooting the three on the fast break etc., but I don't remember him just sticking it in people's face like Ben and Bazz. If you asked me who I wanted to shoot a game winning 3 out of any of these guys, I'd choose Shabazz.

Gordon then Anderson Have to be #’s 1 and 2.
But I always loved watching Brian Fair shoot the ball back in his day. If my memory serves me correctly he had some killer 3’s against Scarycuse

Ben. Of course from my era Wes B. was a great deep shooter, probably our best ever. But he had no three point line but he led the old ABA in 3 point % I think his rookie year.

Bazz did not hit more clutch 3s than Rashad. Bazz is an all time great but he gets overhyped a lot in this board

Toss up between Mouring and Rashad. Went with Mouring. In reality it was Wes "The Poughkeepsie Popper" Bialosuknia.

Why do you keep asking question for which there are clear statistics. Sort of like who had the best attendance in History 101.

Defenders could not get in Smith's face. He'd take a quick step back use his filthy crossover and Raftery would be talking about the defenders lingerie being on the floor as the ball was going through the net.

Love Rashad Anderson, and like many have pointed out already, BG was a great 3 point shooter as well. Don’t forget how hot Niels was at the start of the 13-14 season. I think at one point he was shooting like 70% from 3. I miss having a pure shooter on the roster.

I remember Brian Fair shooting well against the Orange as well. There was also talk of him playing defensive back or wide receiver for Skip Holtz and the Huskies when his college basketball was done.

After Rashad, I would trust Shabazz and AJ to take a 3 down 3 at the end of a game.

I remember the crossover but I don’t remember him shooting a lot of threes off the dribble, especially when contested. I could be wrong though. Last time I watched some dream season footage about 6 months ago, I was shocked by how good Smitty looked. Effortless is more the word.
