For a program that has two championships and three Final Fours since 2004, it sure has been a bumpy ride.

The laptops incident, George Mason, San Diego/Price's torn ACL, the Nate Miles scandal, 2009-10, the APR, the NCAA violations, Jeff Hathaway, Boatright's suspension, Calhoun's on-and-off health - sorry to bring up so many bad memories, but it's amazing how quickly this program seems to squash any semblance of momentum.

I know this may sound spoiled, but is it too much to ask for a year of smooth sailing?

All of that being said, the only programs that wouldn't trade the past few years with us are Duke and UNC.

Oh I know. I was being somewhat facetious - it's just amazing how many up-and-downs we've had to endure throughout such a great run.

This is a fact. Kentucky would kill to have our last 10 years. But yeah, a drama-free season would be nice.

Perspective is everything....a year like ours would be welcomed with open arms at St. John's, DePaul, Providence, Rutgers. Here, it's a kick in the nuts.

It'd be great to just have a normal year. No NCAA, no APR, no spinal stenosising, no medical leaves, no having to see a player's mom hunted like a witch, etc.

And maybe, if the gods would allow it, I'd like to see some decent three-point shooting, too.

Yeah I figured that's what you meant. It really is quite the cluster-F though with all the winning, losing and off the court issues.

your getting greedy now, wishing for some three pointers

I know, but I watch a MAAC game and three-pointers are falling in from every angle and I just can't understand why we can't do it.

It's like when I go to a high school football game and I see them throwing the ball and then I watch UConn and our quarterbacks are throwing the ball sidearm into the turf.

I don't get it.

We prefer a higher degree of difficulty to acheive success. Any slapdick outfit like Dook can launch and make 20 three's a game. It's much sweeter when you can't make any.

Further, come up with a list of fanbases who have it easier. I'd like to see how long it is.

Oh duck* off.

Next time keep reading so you don't miss the part where I said I was being facetious.

Your response would be a lot more effective if you'd included it in your original post. Plus your title is blatantly stupid. It's really not that hard to be a UConn fan.

Are all the program issues frustrating? Yeah, yeah they are. But you just admitted that no one but Duke and UNC would trade the last few years with us. Now maybe you should have substituted Florida for Duke...but do you understand what you're saying there? Do you see what you said?

Good Lord. Some years are up, some years are down. We have 3 titles since '99. Could anyone have foreseen that? QUIT GRIPING.
