BC Post Game Thread

The ACC wanted the Boston market, but the problem is that the Boston market doesn't care about BC unless it is hockey, and even then, it is not big with the Celtics, New England Patriots, and the Bruins
As far as college hockey, Boston loves the Beanpot. I'm pretty sure that within Boston, even with BC's success they are behind BU and Harvard as far as attention for men's ice hockey.

Watched Shane at Memorial while I was a grad student at UConn. He was great.
I also have a warm place in my heart for Tyler Lorenzen.
Tyler could run it quite effectively, but passing . . . not so much. In those days it was all run, run, run. And hope for defensive TD or a special team TD.

Joe, Skyler and Cam get most of the love and rightfully so. But I have to once again give some props to Bryun Parham. Another great game for Parham with many impact plays. A guy who has a nose for the ball, kind of like Jayden McDonald. He’s a playmaker and a difference maker and I appreciate him.

we're talking 7th round. Those QBs are always ticketed for backup duty. Experience is a plus.
He’s razor sharp. His placement is superb. His decision making is rock solid. Even when he throws in tight windows he is putting the ball in places where the defender doesn’t have much of a play on the ball. His run decisions are solid. We have a very, very good QB on our hands.

I simply don't see us beating duke,
Oh ye of little faith..... I see Jim Calhoun sitting right behind the UConn bench ..... With the sisters and dropping F-bombs. 😁
Not Moras Mo but may be the secret sauce. Beat Duke for two natties.
The first half that I saw was a better UConn team, despite being down at the half. What did you see?
The final score says it all. What you saw in the second half won the game.

I missed the first half but right the whole second half. Outside of our offense being on fire, the biggest thing that stood out to me was our ability to get continuous pressure on the QB. I haven’t seen that all season. What was the stat they showed? We had 17 sacks all season and 7 today? That is just insane! I hope our DLine figured something out during the BYE. This game sure looked like they did! Awesome win and great to finally get that win at BC.

I had to go to Long Island for the day to do some needed maintenance on the extended family place. So getting to the game was not in the cards, and watching it in a bar was not possible either. We were all working our butts off on a glorious fall day. I had to be satisfied with checking the score occasionally.

But having seen three games at the Rent with tix for two more in our digital wallet, what seems obvious to me is that a win against Duke is now in play. That game is shaping up to be a helluva matchup, not an automatic loss. What we have seen is improvement in almost all phases of the game, so credit where credit is due. Kudos to the coaching staff for getting the Huskies firing on all cylinders after a week off. Not an easy thing to do.

It was actually the ACC. They didn’t even know the right name of the school they were inviting. They were an afterthought.
Okay, I knew something like that. The ACC didn't know who they invited to join? Maybe, the ACC wanted to have Bethane - Cookman University to join... 😀

Shane, if I recall, was one of the best QBs in the Arena Football League. I read it somewhere, but forgot where. Tyler Lorenzen is good too... Johnny Mac, too.

Four points: 1. It all starts up front. Props to the O-line today, Fagnano seemingly had all day to throw. A few too many holding penalties for my liking though. 2. Kudos to the defense today, which has been a bit uneven this season. Despite seemingly giving up 8-9 yards every time BC ran the ball in the first half, they did a nice job keeping the Eagles out of the end zone in the second half. Offense is firing on all cylinders. Kicking game is solid. Defense is starting to catch up. 3. Once again ACC officiating was suspect at times. When I saw the flag after Bell made the first down in the first quarter I though for sure it was against the BC player for slapping Skylar's hand as he was making the first down signal. Instead, they called an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Bell! Crazy! 4. It was utter torture having to endure the same 3 commercials over and over and over again for the ENTIRE game! It was embarrassing for ESPN. Thank God for the mute button!
