man... is there a chance to get to 10 wins including the bowl???
I simply don't see us beating duke, unfortunately, but man if we can run the table otherwise, and then pull of the bowl win, how good would 10-3 look in our resume?

oh, to hope.
Duke will be tough but I don't count us out against them. We've been in every game this year and we will be at home. If we keep playing this way on offense I can't wait for that game

Great gameplan by Sammis. I was really impressed with the pass protection. They OL lost 2 tackles last year and now look better than ever.

I would have laughed at the thought of JF in the NFL only a few weeks ago. But now that he is using his legs, he looks like a complete QB. He is making good decisions. I see him as an UFA now.

Bell knew how good JF would be with another year…smart move by him to use his last year of eligibility to play with a QB that he knows. Both are reaping the benefits of that decision. Other WRs and TEs with a nice game also. Not sure I remember one drop?

Edwards and Rosa played tough and were solid.

Defense is still shaky…but BC has a pretty good offense. It still feels like it’s too easy to run on this 3-3-5. But…linebackers are getting better every week. Parham had 14 tackles and 2 sacks…oh my.

Can’t wait to watch this team play their last 5 games. Let’s hope they came out of this healthy and will be ready to battle a decent Rice team coming off a bye week on the road.

from the bc interruption chat

"If the ACC were smart, they would dump Boston College and add UConn. UConn is much more serious about athletics than is BC. If UConn were in the ACC and BC were not, UConn would be a competitive ACC team within a couple of years, and their basketball program is obviously light years ahead of that of Boston College. Their women’s basketball program is nationally recognized, and even their baseball program is better than BC’s. BC is not serious about any sport other than probably hockey - and even in hockey, UConn is now competitive with them. Also, UConn is a state flagship University, and as such is much better positioned to be more of a player in FBS then is a relatively small private Catholic school like Boston College."
And I can tell you by living in Boston, Boston College is not even a blip of attention on the sports radar.

Our defense will have trouble stopping Duke. We better hope for a nor’easter and 60 mph winds.
I’m sure we will dial up something great. Look how well Brock did with 2 weeks of prep…

but but but - one of their slogans plastered everywhere is "for boston"??
BC simping for boston

We need play makers on defense badly. I think even the worst Edsall years at least had some playmakers

I was there... BC had great stadium, polite fans but we took over their stadium- felt like a home game.

Their stadium fans lacked that football energy - felt like most came to socialize -which was fine for us!

that wasn't true for UConn fans..z

just remember when they visit us next year -their fans mostly friendly and hospitable

Probably true with any city with professional teams.
Don't think that's always the case. NYC loved St. John's last year and takes notice when UConn basketball does well. Seattle loves University of Washington football and LA loves USC football.

I wonder if we had any shot at sneaking in the top 25 if we didn't blow those games. No sense in looking back though, win each game in front of them from now on.
UConn probably gets a vote here and there to be in the top 25. But we can't undo the losses. The more important thing they didn't allow those 2 losses to start a downward spiral into more losses. I can't prove this, but I feel like the Syracuse loss carried over to the Delaware game, at least for the defense it did.

I think it definitely had an impact on the Delaware game. They had like a 97% chance of winning the Cuse game late before everything fell apart. That's tough to come back from mentally.
