I got tickets for me and my wife and three Grandkids. Would have taken in the double header with the women but one of my Grandkids has a game
 
Forgot I'm going to this until my friend reminded me. Haven't been to the Mohegan arena before. Any suggestions on a place to eat and get beer before?

Bang for your buck - Bow & Arrow Sports Bar

Tom's Urban, Landsdowne Pub, and the bar side of Jordan Steakhouse are all good options as well.

Can always grab a pizza from Pepe's and then find one of the bar areas with virtual blackjack/poker and get comped drinks as long as you are playing at the same time.

Bow and Arrow has $1 wings I think that’s the closest thing to a deal in the whole place. Pretty good wings too, they double sauce and fry them like J Tim’s but they’re not quite as good. And they have a Pepe‘s inside the arena. No, it’s not as good as New Haven but we had a small one at a sun game and I must say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had inside an arena.

It wasn’t too long ago those wings were .50 cents a wing. That was a steal considering location and quality.
 
Just a heads up. Last year for the UMass game a lot of the restaurants didn’t open until 5 5 and they were absolutely packed. We gave up and just went into the arena.

Many take reservations on Open Table.

That's what I've found in the past and some don't open on Monday.
 
Anyone with a Momentum account should give it a look. I'm a low roller and they just comped me to both games on Monday.
 
The game is being streamed for free on UConn+. I live in Florida and was able to add the app on our Roku. There is also an audio only pregame at 6:30 on UConn+


For those who might care, the women’s game is on UConn+ at 2:00

Only the Michigan State game is $7.99 > the Boston College M/W Doubleheader is not PPV.
 
I'm in Connecticut. I get NBC Sports Boston on Cox Channel 51. The guide shows the women's game at 2:00. At 7:00 it also lists the women's game but says it's live. I hope that's a mistake on the TV guide and they are showing the men's game.
