What guts does it take to jump ship when its sinking?
Rats always do.
The money fountain they sponged off of was gone.
Courage is a virtue, our Neo-Catholic brethen
lack it or pretty much any virtue I can think of.

They left because they can make more money by leaving.....
Simple as that without regard for anyone but themselves.

They are no different than WV, Syracuse, Rutgers, Pitt, Louisville, BC, Miami, or VaTech.
Or us if we had a chance.
The only difference is we and those that left contributed so much more had so much more to lose.

I don't get the uproar about this. At this point the tv money was so small maybe it is good we can split it with seven less mouths to feed. To me this is not as bad as other defections. In hoops who cares about DePaul, providence, seton hall and johnies. Other three are losses but Marquette and Villanova (especially lately) are not that big a deal either. Of all the crap going down lately this did not seem as bad to me.

It is cliche, however uconn will have to be better at everything to continue to be relevant. Scheduling, recruiting, fan support all need to get better. The negative attitude pervading the fan base will be difficult to overcome.

They have guts because they see a different future and they are acting to make it become reality. Instead of being ruled by conditions they are setting new conditions that they deem to be more favorable. That's what leadership and vision do.

It's not quitting when the chips are down. The chips are gone!

We're sitting around, hoping something will break for us. Hoping nobody else leaves, hoping Navy, SDSU and Boise will stick with it. Mainly just hoping.

Because they didn't have their futures ruled by inertia.

That's what the football schools did. And most on this board thought it was just fine.
