Boat heaved up a 3 with 30 seconds left on the shot clock. That's Bazz's job.Bazz didn't like boats shot selection. By the way, those 2 have been sniping at each other for 2 years.

They only have a few games left together. We'll survive. My seats here at gampel aren't as good but my XL seats are right behind the bench and those two are oil and water, been watching it up close for 2 years. Bazz can be petulant at times ( don't get me wrong all time favorite of mine) and Boat is Boat. Just not the greatest chemistry there, never has been, but that's not uncommon in big time hoops. I actually think Boat has done a better job this year deferring. He'll get his shot next year to run the show.UCDaveD said:Non issue. Announcers kept talking about it like they were going to come to blows. They're 2 fierce competitors, these things happen. I'm sure it's already squashed.
Wow. Don't paint with a broad brush or anything.Bazz learned the lesson, step on the throat when opponents are down.
Boat hasn't. He plays for himself when opponents are down.

Next can we hear how Boat never passes to Giffey?
They had an issue tonight. To take that and make a blanket statement that "Boat plays for himself when the other team is down" is dumb. What do you think made Bazz commit the foul at half court? Be interested in your theory, especially since in the post game interview Bazz said that we need to step on the throat of the opponent at that point in the game.
BTW, you also didn't notice the way that both Boat and Bazz got Giffey the ball tonight? It was a watershed.
Really, you were reading his thoughts? Or you just assume he was being selfish late in a close game?Boat unhappy about having 3 pts deep into 2nd half with a bunch of NBA scouts in the building.

I heard the interview. You're taking one thing and turning it into something bigger based on nothing. "He has done it for years." Sure he has.Nope. He has done it for years. It was why we have blown big leads all year.
I like Boat, great player. But there are times when he puts himself over the team. There are times when he plays for stats.
Bazz absolutely called him out on it tonight in front of a national audience. Too bad you missed it.

Pretty much the way I've observed it, too. Left to their natural tendencies, they are not a natural fit as complementary players. Too much overlap in what they each would prefer to be doing. Boat has definitely sublimated more this year, and it works better that way most of the time. They only have a few games left together. We'll survive. No merit to that at all. When we blew big leads, it was because we get complacent and took our foot off the gas (i.e. Bazz only hits daggers when he has to, rather than putting teams away). Boat being selfish or not has nothing to do with it.
