Good for Bazz and Brimah.

I read that Bazz said he doesn't really care about individual awards as much as winning championships.

Who of us didn't have DD as either a 1st or 2nd team preseason all conference?

I'm very happy Brimah was able to make the All-Rookie team. I did not see that coming. Keep in mind this is a player who is only averaging 15.3 minutes per game. Imagine what he will be like when he controls his foul trouble, and is able to double his playing time. I truly think Brimah's upside is nearly limitless.

The chatter is that Kilpatrick favored to get POY. ..... by coaches.

All the love in the world and then some for Shabazz but going out on a game like that vs. Louisville practically eliminated his chances in my opinion. Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it, but the recency effect certainly does not help his case.

Wow, the ACC team has a lot of talented forwards.

And that's why AAC teams will advance further in the tournament than Big 12 teams. I'll take the AAC's (Senior) guards every day before the Big 12's (Freshman) forwards.

He followed it up by destroying Memphis, that is going to be more fresh in the minds of voters...and this is not meant to be a shot at Bazz, but neither Russ or Kilpatrick have the black mark on their resume like that Louisville game, Bazz played awful and his team got wiped out.

Larry Brown made it seem like he would vote for Russ Smith for POY on the radio yesterday.

Also, I'm glad there are only 5 players on the first team, not 6 or 10 or whatever it was in the Big East.

I read that too, but I kinda smirked. He's a senior, applying for the NBA. Anything to help build your resume is desirable. He's a smart kid, and knows what to say.

What about Napier's 5-19 game the first time vs Cincinnati? If you look at the averages against each other and Memphis, Kilpatrick has the best numbers...

You missed the point entirely.

The point was not to emphasize one game over all the others.
