At the game now. Kalani Brown is the Liz Cambage of women’s college basketball. She is HUGE. Billings is 6’4” but looks like an elf standing next to Brown. I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets 35 points in this game.

Evidently, Cox was hospitalized from a reaction to her strep throat treatment.
She's out now and should be back within a few days. As per the Baylor board.

Bruins lead at half 36-29. A little disappointed in UCLA at the end of half. Brown was out for Baylor and they didn’t capitalize in the paint.

This Baylor team has a lot of depth even without Cox. And I was impressed with Cohen, a very versatile player. When Brown exited the game late in 2Q she went to the low block and scored twice.

Canada has 12 points and 7 assists at the half.

Oh, it's LA, and they always have far better things to do, unless Jack Nicholson is sitting in the front row and folks come to oogle at the glitterati.

UCLA will be a real challenge. It will be interesting how Geno tries to defend against Canada: whether primarily Crystal or Kia; heck, I'm thinking even Megan may get some minutes against her. But wondering whether Geno doesn't go to a zone because of Z, or some type of man-to-man zone. I have to believe that there's a Husky scout out there in the stands today.

Baylor on a run and has cut the lead to 4. Baylor is killing UCLA on the offensive glass right now and Brown is unstoppable once she gets the ball down low. And some of the other Baylor guards are starting to drive and score. UCLA need to find its composure quickly.

Well I guess they found it. Canada, Burke and Billings just made huge plays. Burke hit a 3 and then got an assist from Canada for a reverse layup. Then Billings with the pick-6 and 3-point play. I guess they’re reviewing the severity of the foul now.
