It was, and regardless of seed, Oregon is GOOD.

Oregon was 2-6 against the top 4 teams in the Pac 12 and just lost to Stanford by 15 (after leading by 9 at the end of the first quarter) a few weeks ago. Don't make them out to be more than they are.

Baylor E8 bridesmaids again. When the Baylor season is seen in retrospect tomorrow, next week or next year, no matter how well they played or not "Punch them in the face" will be this teams defining moment.

If you're going to exceed your season averages by a massive amount, might as well pick this game to do it like William. An E8 matchup against (IMO) the 2nd best team in the country.

Baylor seems to run into these teams and players playing above their pay grade in the 2nd week of the tournament a lot.

Major props to Mississippi State, Schaefer's done an amazing job with this team and was able to right the ship after a late season lapse. 94 points tonight, 75 in the Sweet 16, 92 in the 2nd round and 110 in the first round. Not bad for a team that was supposed to be offensively challenged.


Side note, the Schaefer/William post game piece is making me tear up.

Morgan William's comment about "This one is for my dad" who she lost 3 years ago made this really hit home for me. All these young women in this tournament, no matter the team, deserve our love and respect for the sacrifices they've made just to make the initial draw.
