Baylor gets oral commitment from 8th grader

In my thought process, there should be no recruiting contact with anyone prior to high school. Commitments of any kind should not be allowed until the start of the junior year.

Her dad was a football player for Baylor, so sounds like she is just going with the family tradition.

I think I posted that video of Wagner recently in the recruiting thread, I thought it might be a bit premature but she clearly looked talented..........................little did I know she's commit at this stage in her career...................it will be interesting to see if she actually ends up at Baylor................

Well Deja Kelly committed to Texas as a seventh grader and we know how that turned out
Jaden Owens to SMU was early as well...not sure exactly the grade, but that isn’t a fair comparison because she was a top-15 recruit so.

Not that SMU isn’t in a great conference, folks!

Is there any data on how well these super early commutments pan out?

I was about to say something to the likes..."and here I thought Baylor only got bigs". Then realized this kid is only in the 8th grade and is already 6'-1". Imagine when she grows up!

Her dad is 6'-6", so there's a possibility of more height.
