With the possible exception of Gabby's 2 quick fouls, there is about zero you can look at and say "wow we didn't look that good". Against a BIG team like Baylor to be playing within our selves, 8 turnovers (not great but not bad either), and just matching them basket for basket - what a performance so far by our YOUNG Huskies. We are outrebounding them by 1 at this point. Couldn't be happier with how they played in the first half. Win or lose, we are showing we are going to be a force this season. Rebuilding? How about RELOADING! And Crystal Dangerfield - wowza. Shout out to Nat too. Brava!!

I'm sounding redundant, but this is one tough, rugged, hard nosed team that never says die. The Uconn is playing like the best team in the country at the half. I'm proud of these young ladies who play with a lot of emotion.

Mulkey by the way was being her typical self in the game. She harangued the refs until she got a warning, complained and harangued her staff just short of verbal assault, almost physically touched on of her staff when she was upset, jumped around gesticulating etc.

Last year's team played together for a long time. These guys need to play 1/2 a season before they can figure out what to expect from each other.
