Battle for Atlantis Tournament -- November 19-21

It's been a bad weekend to be a Tennessee sports fan...

From 1-3 to 2-3 is a 15-percentage-point-increase in winning percentage! Gotta look at the bright side. :p
Dammit, our winning percentage did not change after this win.:)

Texas is about to start the season 1-3. That's gotta hurt Uconn's SOS.
Maybe, but Texas was number 3 when UConn beat them. Also, I believe they will be tough when Harmon returns.

Texas is going to be interesting to follow. From their post game press conference, it sounds like Rori may be back against Princeton on Sunday. And then their December schedule is not too bad. I think Kansas State of course will be a challenge on NYE. So their next big game against a top 20 team will be Jan 15th.
On the flip side Tennessee has Virginia Tech and Stanford before Christmas. They got Gonzaga today as well. It's an interesting contrast. Two teams ranked top 5 in the preseason who have struggled out of the gates. One's schedule may get progressively harder, with a couple of top 12 out of conference matchups in addition to a tough conference. The other's will get a bit easier atleast in the near future and with the conference being a bit down this year.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that the championship game is being played first?

UCLA prevails in overtime.

I still take significant joy in the fact that Marquette, projected to finish 6th in the Big East, gave UCLA a much tougher game than Tennessee did :)

This result also vindicates my decision to rank UCLA and Marquette at 18 and 20, respectively, in my Boneyard top 25.

Wild that UCLA went 3-18 from 3 after yesterday's 3pt blitz.

The TN / Gonzaga game on ESPNU is scheduled for 2:52

Kaleigh Troung Buries a 3pt to end Q1 on a severely injured knee (it appears) to give a 24-18 lead. That is one of the gutsiest things I have seen. Very Paige Bueckers like and against TN. Hope it turns out to be not serious

Pretty unfair, but makes sense, that the entire Men’s tournament is being broadcast on ESPN, while Women’s Hoops fans had to pay for FloHoops.

With this many bad losses TN has officially earned the role of SPOILER for the season.

The SEC taking it on the chin today, with Tenn, Kentucky and Alabama losing.
