He said he’d never coach a men’s college team because of 1. The sneaker companies, agents, and posses and 2. Recruiting is a lot harder and 3. Women stay all 4 years and he has a chance to develop their skills fully

His dream job is an NBA assistant
I believe he said he would take the Duke job.

So, Whitney Houston retrospective is what CBS is showing tonight instead of FF basketball?

I get it's 2022 and you can broadcast on any station and people will see the game but it's not like CBS has some massive programming they get to show instead of basketball.

How easy is it to have huge run streaks and beat almost all opponents game after game without losing focus or just have a bad shooting night? Especially when all of the opponents circle the date and play like it’s their personal Final Four game.
UConn women are like the Michael Jordan Bulls. The other team circles it on their calendar, it is the biggest game of the season. Fans wait outside the stadium for an autograph or just a view of the team. Maintaining focus with all of that adulation is difficult. UConn has mastered it.

The comment about competition in women's basketball still stands even if it has improved recently. Every championship is split between like 8 schools max, and the drop-off between the UConn, Stanford, SC, Notre Dames, etc and the rest is as steep as you can get. The brackets are essentially chalk every game. You have to go back to 2016 to get a Final Four seed less than 2.

They want a strong lead in to 11 straight months of nothing but Impractical Jokers on TBS.

The competition in women's basketball is utterly terrible, especially when he started his career. Despite being the best ever, you really only have to worry about a handful of games every year.
When he started his career, the whole team was from CT and Mass/New England.
Rizzoti, Wolters, Lobo, Sales, Bascom, Berube...

Since 1982 there have been 14 different womens teams who have won a title and 20 mens (including Louisvilles vacated title) teams. That’s not as wide of a gap as most people portray there to be honestly.

Those of us that have been watching women's college basketball since UConn’s last visit there can tell anyone the quality and depth of womens basketball has improved immensely . It starts in the high schools where it has also improved.
