Don’t some of the European arenas have ‘screen’ floors? I’m not sure what the right term is but I recall seeing something like this in a few FIBA games, though without having to turn the arena lights down.

I like the concept especially where the floor is actually the screen. You have volleyball today, floor is now a volleyball court. Basketball? Floor changes. You want your floor to be like Oregon's floor (God forbid!). Done. Want to pay for all the NIL stuff...boom ads. OK all good things come with a cost. get used to the future 🤣.

I know I've seen it in the last couple of weeks -- I'd been thinking it was in a NCAA game, but you're probably right that I saw it in some Euro highlights.

UConn did a laser show prior to the team being announced earlier this year. It’s fun for the kids and actually the fans as well.
Teams need to continue to attract new fans. Some team’s fans are, er, very mature and won’t be going to games forever. Young people will be around longer

Times Square goes basketball. Privately funded is very good. The kids obviously love it and I love the players getting the attention. Of course, if I had my way we'd still be playing with peach baskets.

No doubt fun for the students. Not for me I would need blinders, however it's their time, as part of the experience for them, I'm for it.
