The balls are clearly juiced again this season. For a sport where everything is judged off of #'s it seems rather silly to be so reliant on historical numbers when there's been all these seasons with juiced balls and juiced players.

A recent study actually shows them traveling 4’ shorter than LY.
Data also shows that across most MLB stadiums, home runs as a percentage of fly balls hit in March, April, and May are at an eight-year low.

I don't think the ball is juiced necessarily.

For one thing, pitchers sit in the mid-90s and because they are not saving anything for the late innings, they can still reach back for something extra. If a hitter makes contact...well the faster it comes in, the faster it goes out.

Secondly, I think the pitch clock has more of a negative affect than first glance as well

Finally, I still think they are searching for an advantage, but pitchers are monitored much closer for using sticky stuff.

The moment when MLB was forced to finally admit the pervasiveness and address the Spider Tack epidemic in the sport:

I think it's at least, if not more, the hitter's approach to either go for a walk or a strikeout or a homer. Contact is no longer a priority and launch angle/exit velo are king.

I watched the Mets try to advance a runner with a bunt twice this week and fail both times. I can't tell you the last time I saw a hit and run.
