Maybe they mean the AP and Coaches Poll so that both polls were unanimous in who they were ranking #1 heading into the Tournament.

Now if the writers knew this was a FINAL POLL, would they have voted differently? Also, the NCAA came out and stated they wouldn't have a champion nor would they take a "Final Vote" so that's where Dawn's illogic shines supreme...no one supports her view.

To all the "upset Gamecock fans", yes we respect what Dawn has achieved but we do not condone "awarding" unearned accolades, so if you are upset with our views, perhaps you should go vent on Cockytalk or whatever that forum is, as you will not find any sympathy here.

Not all Gamecocks fans agree with this nonsense, and they're also the ones who have the good sense to just stay away from the topic because they know that nothing they say can make the situation less embarrassing.

Unfortunately, Dawn has elected to pander to, let's say, the less sensible among her fanbase.

Has anyone ever heard of a major college or any team giving itself an award? This was based on a poll at a moment in time, not final performance.

ND website once congratulated the team for having an undefeated "regular" season.
