And the notion that he doesn't develop people is groundless. Show me some stats comparing rank coming in and draft position . . . compared to other schools. Start with Kansas and Duke. This can be imperfectly quantified.
I did this, comparing Calipari to KO and JC. Calipari did OK, he had some slight slippage (NBA draft pick usually worse than high school recruit ranking), but more or less what you'd expect with some regression to the mean. KO and JC did significantly better, getting their kids better draft position than high school ranking. Of course for KO the sample size is small.
