He's a nice player but have always felt there was a dark side to his personality.

With apologies to Aceboon:

Dang I'd love to see him come play for uva. Duke is absolutely loaded the next couple years

Think Rothstein's source is from Nichols' camp - they're the ones pushing for Duke. Don't think Duke bites. If they were interested, Nichols' family probably wouldn't have hired a lawyer to get rid of the restrictions on the release. Seems like he wants to go to Virginia:

What the hell will this do to their APR?

Probably not much. They'll all leave in good standing, regardless of whether they ever went to class. The only school that f cked that up was pre 2011 UCONN.

Academically, how do you go from Memphis to Duke or UVA. If he was academically strong, why wouldn't he have gone there to begin with?

Memphis....LMAO...the gift that keeps on giving!

They've already caved. The school just announced they were giving him his unconditional release. They must have known they were going to lose.

I don't think Memphis could possibly come out of this looking worse.

Most likely Virginia...if its unconditional, could we get involved?

That would be epic if he went to a conference rival. I highly doubt any AAC school would do it though because it would lead to mayhem going forward.

Clearly, playing a major sport plays no role. And, Memphis is even more of a crappy school than nACC-member, Louisville Community College. That takes effort!
