You are also correct. I was confused as to which former coach.I don't think Dee ever spent time in the GW athletic department. You may be thinking of Dom Perno, who for many years worked in athletic development at GW.
Also had Jack Kvancz as AD for a while, former Warren Harding basketball standout back in the day. He hired Penders (they played against each other in high school). Not clear why GW became a dumpster fire, as Christian had a good record when he came in. But even beyond helping them on the court, GW needs a few high character guys to help them bring all the new pieces together, and B Adams is clearly that. Best of luck to him as a Colonial.
Also continues the strong amount of ties between the program. GW having had Penders as a coach and Dee Rowe in their athletic department, Red Auerbach having ties to both programs (unofficially with UConn but as a friend of the legendary Marty Glickman the few years he was doing play by play), and Kromah and Dan Guess having finished their playing days at UConn.
Karl Hobbs was the head coach there for 10 years. You are also correct. I was confused as to which former coach.
This. Yeah it’s a nice spot for Adams, but it is a really solid pick up for GW.My thought as well.
May it work out well for BAdams and GW; on the surface, it seems like a great fit.
Free MA at the uni with the most expensive tuition in the country, at least the last time I checked. Not shabby.Perfect landing spot. Going to have a BA in Econ from UConn and a Masters degree from GW and didn't have to pay a cent. Set up for life.
and Dom PernoNot to mention Karl Hobbs GW connection
