Perfect fit!

Good school, good basketball conference, great city for post-basketball career, near his hometown, and lots of PT: there was a bit of an exodus at GW with 8 transfers and just 9 schollies committed for next year.

Adams should get a lot of minutes at the 2 and 3. Former LSU guard James Bishop is their stud while Maryland transfer Ricky Lindo is a good wing piece for them too.

GW surprisingly has a decent '21 haul for next year. Currently, it's ranked 63rd in the nation with three total commits, two of which are top-250. They also add in former Arizona Wildcat Ira Lee as a grad transfer. GW also added VaTech's Joe Bamisile this week too.

Not clear why GW became a dumpster fire, as Christian had a good record when he came in. But even beyond helping them on the court, GW needs a few high character guys to help them bring all the new pieces together, and B Adams is clearly that. Best of luck to him as a Colonial.

Also continues the strong amount of ties between the program. GW having had Penders as a coach and Dee Rowe in their athletic department, Red Auerbach having ties to both programs (unofficially with UConn but as a friend of the legendary Marty Glickman the few years he was doing play by play), and Kromah and Dan Guess having finished their playing days at UConn.

Best wishes to BA for success in life forged from lessons learned on the court and in the classroom.

He kept his head up and showed great character when his playing time diminished and that kind of attitude will make him a success at whatever he chooses to do in life. Nice to see a kid who isn't treating basketball like a lottery and the only way to be a success in life.

I don't think Dee ever spent time in the GW athletic department. You may be thinking of Dom Perno, who for many years worked in athletic development at GW.
