If Azzi and Paige are on the floor together, I see Paige as the PG with Azzi as the SG, Ash the 3, and the other two are either Jana, Ice, and Sarah. That will be one heck of a team on the floor.

She has been doing pre-game warmups and looking great, so I am not surprised. This makes perfect sense!

It will be nuts, hopefully not of the Tropicana Field variety but we will try.

I'm guessing off the bench mid to late first quarter. In front of 60+ former players on what is already one of the biggest nights in UConn WCBB history.

I am setting realistic expectations for myself. IMHO, Azzi may only play 10-15 mins, 20 at the most. I'm sure they want to ease her in, not set the bar too high, and have her be comfortable in a real game mode.

There are a many who are critical of her defense, as if she is one dimensional; a jump shooter specialist with nothing else to contribute. Because of that, I would like to see those first points come way of her picking the pocket of a Fairleigh Dickinson guard, then racing the length of the court for an uncontested layup.

Either way, I wish nothing but the best for her!

Don’t know how long it will take her to shake off the rust but she looks so much more mature,stronger and quicker than before injury. Very excited to have her back.

Good analogy, mainly because it's partly about leg strength. When she came back two seasons ago for the tournament, her shot was erratic because she lacked the leg strength and it was really visible. If her legs are strong now, the shot will return more quickly.
