So why is it that the original story on uconnhuskies.com, the tweet on the uconn huskies wbb twitter page about the transfer and the retweet on Azura's twitter page are all gone. I can't find any of them anymore. Does it mean anything ? Seems very very odd to me.

It's still up on the NCAA's site. As for UConnHuskies.com and the Twitter accounts, maybe some paper hasn't been filed with the right department of the NCAA yet so the transfer isn't quite official.

Thanks Nan, that may be it. I wanted to read the original story but could not find it and was wondering why.

Duke final exams end May 7th. Transfers and enrollment tend to line up with semester ends dates for Official NCAA purposes.

Does anyone know the truth about this story? I mean, what happened at Duke? When did she, "see the light," and realize UCONN was where she wanted to be? Had UConn recruited her? How did the initial contact with the Uconn coaching staff go? Probably a book here.

I don't know how to Twitter, but I do know how to worry (was definitely relieved when Geno was back up and about). If I follow it right, someone congratulated Azura (via twitter) on her transfer late yesterday afternoon and she replied Thanks!!, which hopefully is a sign nothing is amiss.

The only way to think of this is CONSPIRACY !! Stevens didn't transfer--she was abducted and spirited away to a very nasty place that is cold in the winter, too hot in the summer and does not know how to cook SOUTHERN I think the place was way up near Alaska certainly some place close ---YUKON.. Really bad guys there (I saw it a TV movie -- dance halls, gambling), and a really bad guy in charge --from Italy Can we save her?? Probably not They say when you get to YUKON--you never want to leave POOR LOST SOUL!

I, at one time , was afflicted with the twitters--but I have recovered mostly now I have the Gitters> It must have been a world announcement ---STEVENS SAYS THANKS!! It is a conspiracy!!

I understand your desire to know more--I do too. But somethings are none of oour business and personal. The most important part of this is --WE HAVE STEVENS and THEY DON"T~~

Just speculation on my part but her quote here "My experience at Duke has been amazing,” Stevens said in a press release announcing the departures. “I would like to thank the staff and the Blue Devil community for all their support over the last two years. At this time, I feel it would be best for my basketball career to go in a different direction."
This says three things, first she took the high road by thanking the staff when the entire outside world knows there is a problem within. Second she realizes her game is not going to improve under the current staff and last but not least someone of her caliber would probably like a shot at a NC. I can't think of a better place to achieve the last two. ;) :D

AZ was watching the Championship and post game interviews. She hear Stewie say:

“Yeah, this is UConn,” Stewart said. “We don’t rebuild, we reload and we do what we’re supposed to do.”

AZ went to bed. 2 hours later she sat bolt upright. She had her answer to her vexing dilemma!

I forgot the last line! Too late to edit, so here it is:

Somewhere in the distance, a dog barked.

The WBB Twitter account just tweeted a slightly updated version. Pretty much the same info though.
