Ayanna shoutout

After watching yesterday's game, I was thrilled to see Jana has finally conquered the skill to pivot in the paint and make her layups. If she continues to improve on this basic skill, she is going to be a big help down the road.
Jana or Yanna (Ayanna Patterson)?

What I find absolutely amazing is that after two years of not playing, she's not fouling as much, seems to have inside moves, is getting fouls called when going up with shots and is very solid at the foul line. All 4 improvements to occur while not playing for 2 years is incomprehensible, happy for her.

Sounds like you are discussing JANA ( FIBA ) and not YANNA (i.e. AYANNA Patterson who is the "YANNA" of this thread, and who has never played in a FIBA competition).
An easy mistake and I apologize if I wrong to point out this differentiation.
GO YANNA! GO JANA! GO HUSKIES!
I did. I'm feeling the effects of the flu still. Getting ready to watch the men's game from yesterday. Recorded it and watched half the women's game yesterday and this morning.

As far as Yanna, I like seeing her look 'bouncy' again. Would like to see her really develop this last half of the season. I think we often forget how highly rated Yanna and Ice were coming in and how injuries have devastated their development. Both young women could have moved on while they've been recruited over.
Really felt like the team was snake bitten for a couple of years with Paige, Yanna, Caroline, Ice, Jana and a few others. Just glad to see the young women getting healthy and looking forward to and currently seeing what they can do.

Imagine being on the other team and then having to deal with her when you are down by 30 or 40 and it's the fourth quarter and you finally get in against UCONN and have to face her? My whole opinion of her changed with her "stare down". She is improving every game. Let's see Wednesday.

.-.
I'd forgotten that Ayanna was so highly ranked(#5) in high school, dunked with both hands, and even forgot about her eye. Such courage, such determination. With her background it's understandable why she would be able to do things on the court, even though not playing for 2 years. Don't know the rules; must have 1 year left.

Slight correction. Ayanna was #4. Ice was #5.

You are correct, Ayanna can come back next season.
