Aubrey gets drafted!

Between the back surgery and the knee surgery, rehab, recovery, and return to the hardwood, this kid deserves to be given a shot. When healthy, Aubrey will be stellar W player. Chen deserves the shot, just because!

Paige dresses with class. I have a hunch she's not paying for it.
Sorry not buying it, the look was a dud for me. I also think given the chance Paige will never consider wearing that or any outfit similar to what she wore to the draft. Although she did seem to enjoy grabbing the lapels ever other second.

It was very obvious that she had never worn anything like that before.

I didn't say she picked it out but it is a classey runway style. The lapels had to do with modesty.

Someone forgot the double stick tape to keep her jacket down. Sonia Citron wore a similar outfit, but she must've had tape on b/c she wasn't constantly holding the lapels down.

What's with that anyway? Women can't wear blouses anymore?

Geno Auriemma, UConn players gathered to support seniors at WNBA Draft: 'All sharing this moment'

Per this article on CTInsider:

Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve gave Auriemma a heads-up that they would take Griffin in Monday’s Draft, marking the ninth time the franchise has drafted a UConn player (the most by any WNBA team). Reeve isn’t naïve to Griffin’s injury history. She told the local media after the draft that the Lynx staff will meet with Griffin (daughter of former NBA head coach Adrian Griffin and sister of former NBA small forward AJ Griffin) once she gets in town to evaluate what the next steps may look like.
“I was just thrilled for Aubrey because I knew that that's something she really wanted,” Auriemma said. “She comes from a family of people that have been there already and done that, and all she needs is an opportunity. I think it's going to take some time, and hopefully, Minnesota has a long-range plan because she's not 100% and if she goes to training camp with the idea that, ‘I have to make the team this year or I'm out,’ I'd be disappointed in that. So hopefully Cheryl has a long-range plan for her. And sometimes, you know, you get a steal in the draft, and who knows, you know, this could be one of them.”

So happy the Lynx drafted Aubrey. This is a nice addition to the roster. Welcome to Minnesota, Aubrey!! Best of luck.

Aubrey being drafted simply quieted all of those Aubrey Griffin nah-sayers who came on this forum when Aubrey was a Freshman and said she would not amount to anything. Despite all of her injuries and setbacks, I guess Aubrey proved them all wrong
