We still have our destiny in front of us with Cincy, Ville and tourney. KO needs to figure something out because our offense has been bad, maybe call Larry Brown for some tips. Not his total fault but I think we will hear him own up to this one. Overall this can be a blip on the radar if we take care of business.

The goal at this point should be: top-20, 4/5 seed (and maybe a little discussion on the big-boy networks to remind fans and recruits nation-wide that we're still in the conversation as a perennial power).

The road to getting there just got a hell of a lot tougher. This loss can be merely a blip, but we'll now be required to go 6-1 down the stretch to reach those goals (whereas if we had won today we could have gotten away with dropping another regular season game and losing in the AACT semis).

There's no denying the team.played poorly. But here's hoping Ollie uses this to get their attention and refocus for the stretch run. The games that define this season have yet to be played.

The goal at this point should be scoring the ball! And to win the next game!

Hit the open 3s and no one is complaining. For some reason, the players didn't have their legs under them today.

No one seemed in sync today. Just one of those days where nothing goes right

No. They got handled by SMU. It wasn't because they missed a couple threes. They were outplayed all over the court. Out-coached. Out-hustled. Out-whatevered. Big crowd at Gampel to honor the '99 team and they had no interest in playing today. The "just one of those days" excuse is fine if it's an aberration, but it's not. And if they go down to South Florida and beat up on a patsy that's not going to mean they've turned some kind of corner.

The threads from yesterday mocking Syracuse and Duke look pretty dumb today. Now I just need superjohn to double down on his point that UConn is better than Kansas.

No you're right, making fun of other teams when we play like this, I don't get. We looked like a team ranked 150.

A couple 3s? Say wha? Look at the boxscore. They missed 15 3s.

Close out on Russell too. He was 75% on 3s but Kromah and Giffey were far away.

Start the season ranked in the top 20, move into the top 10...now with 4 games left we are not in the top 25 & who knows if we even get a bid ...embarrassing we went back wards since Dec.

Upstater, I have no idea what your point is. If they had made 21 threes they would have won? Yeah, probably. Brilliant stuff.

They got thoroughly outplayed by a fringe top 25 team that struggles away from home. End of story.

They D'up really well today. They flew around and were constantly where they were supposed to be. Their help defense was tight and they had a good non-whistle going for them. Many times, Shabazz and Boat went into the lane looking for foul calls throwing up crazy off balanced one handed shots as if that would get them the call rather than trying to put the ball in. Upstater is right though, the few times they got open, they missed open shots, and thats what tough ball pressure does. It has you not taking your regular shot because you assume there is going to be a hand in your face all the time. Lasan missed open threes, Giffey missed open threes, even shabazz missed the wide open three at the game that sealed the deal for them. Its not like they blew us out or put up 80 on us. If those open 3's went down for us we are not only in it but probably up a few at the end.

Larry brown was just prepared today.. As he usually is. He's the type of guy to bounce back from USF /Temple losses and I respect that. That team won't go far in the NCAA's because now this teams getting too cocky and I hope they play Kansas so they get a real whooping.

Problem is KO shouldn't need anything to get their attention. If playing at Gampel vs a team that beat you soundly the first time around, and you're now playing (played!) for a top 16 seed - if those things aren't enough there is an issue moving forward. And for some reason they weren't!

We are 100% getting a bid
