This was already posted on the bball site but I thought some here would like to read it. Unfortunately my pennies are spoken for right now and I wasn't able to donate, but congratulations and great job to those that did. It sounds like it delivered the message that was intended.

We batted that around for a while and we did talk to the Foundation.

These things are very structured and if we were to start a new drive, we would start at $0 - the overage on the heart pump is still targeted towards that drive. Legally, it's what people donated money for and we can't just change that to a new goal.

Given that we didn't think that we had another $25,000 in us and given that anything we raise over $25,000 goes towards the operation of the Cardiac Center, it seemed to make sense to stay the course.

Everyone is free to donate - we're going to have something of a pow-wow at the Calhoun Charity ride/walk/run next June and every donor is welcome. (We'll also raise money for that event...please consider signing up to ride, walk or run with us that day. It'll be fun. Maybe.)

We should put the date of the charity ride/walk/run thing on the top of the board. It'd be nice to be able to have folks clear their calendars as early as possible for it.
