So did he ever play basketball? or did he just show up to coach the women and then the men in HS and small college as an assistant, and then his first big time job was as an assistant at VA.

There was no film available when he was playing basketball under his rookie Coach Moses. The player in the outhouse that week had to carry the Tablets back and forth to the locker room.

West Chester has long ben known for its emphasis on sports programs, and has produced a lot of coaches over the years in various sports. In a brief conversation I had with GA several years ago, we discovered that we both had played some pick up ball on the same outdoor court, although in a somewhat different era (he's younger)
