When I moved to Arizona
I took Spanish at an ASU extension facility
If you attend ASU , you are required to sign a contract to be a lifelong hater of U of A as a result
However I’ve also always hated Michigan
so this is a tough one.

I need Zona to win this game for multiple reasons, but if we win I’ll just happily watch it and be excited for good ball.

If we lose and Zona loses, it will be an awful Saturday night in every way.

I expect 2 really good games, each game is a strong matchup with good teams and storylines.

I'm with you. I want a chance to get revenge on Zona for earlier in the season. Need to beat Illinois but I'm obviously pulling for us and them to make the championship

I'll be rooting for Arizona, besides the fact that I've liked the program since the Lute Olsen days I'm ready to see The Giggler(Lendeborg) sent home
His joker tattoo is SO COOL, not

I have no real rooting interest here. Seems like it should be a hell of a game.

I just want more and more conversation about how this is the "real" championship game. So that when we beat whoever wins, they can all suck it even harder
I had that exact thought earlier today. Some people never learn.

First, get our business done against IL. They will miss Kofi Cockburn.

Next, hope refs are balanced on this one. Illinois is better than earlier this year when we last played.

We are, IDK, stranger game by game. Still, results speak for themselves. If it comes down to the last 3 minutes and is a nail biter,
I'll take our late game defense and our Danny Hurley coaching to give is the edge and the W. Both have proven crunch time success.

Sets up so perfectly.

Have no idea what Ruff Ruff does for this match up. As it is, he's in mourning w Dook going out. How will he handle this one? Inquiring minds want to know.....
Appreciate the matchups - see how it plays out, who steps up. See who our next opponent is.

For all the "wrong" I was on how good those two teams are.......... spank you very much. If you couldn't take my light acknowledgement of how good their rosters were, the national takes must be nauseating you. The only reason I was observing was to think ahead to how we'd match up - and here we are.

I think Arizona will beat Michigan but is also easier for UConn to beat. Michigan is very unpredictable, but the most I can get of them is that they like to engage in track meets and overwhelm opponents with one massive run. If Monday ends up with us facing them, I’d rather keep that a low possession game that exposes their sloppiness with the ball.

Arizona strikes me as being a much more "serious" team, they don't mess around. On the flip size, they do rely on 3 freshmen (similar to Duke) so you never know when that inexperience could show. That was one of my keys against Duke and someone replied to my post (probably Ruff) that Duke's freshman don't play like freshman, so that isn't gonna happen. Well, that was true until it wasn't. Michigan just seems like such rag tag group that is probably going to be more interested in the media that comes with the Final 4 than actually winning it.

I do want to see a good game.

If in the prior game, the unthinkable happens, there is a very strong probability that I won't even watch. I don't want to think in those terms at the moment.

Yes, these are two very good teams and I am happy that they are here as there won't be many excuses about our road to number seven once we complete the journey. Yes, we will need to charter new territory as we've never won a national title game wearing our road uniforms, but I say it's about time that we did.

I’m with you - I’ve said it in other threads, I’ve always liked Arizona and felt they were similar to us before we became ungodly winners. Similar 90s unis too.

I love Roddy Gayle and I like Cadeau but I don’t want Michigan to win for a million other reasons.

I think we can play with Arizona. Just not sure we can handle Yaxel. But let's get there first...
There’s always been some stud that we can’t handle and then do. That is the magic of our coaching staff’s game plan. We’ll see what happens.

You weren’t breaking any news about AZ or MI, so I wouldn’t go patting yourself on the back. It was the constant and nauseating bloviating over them that wore on people. While the team you supposedly root for but could never seem to back ended up in the same place as two of the three of your pet teams……after eliminating one.

Your total lack of self awareness on this front is nothing if not blindly consistent.

I'd be curious to a UM matchup as I do think they are the team of the three that would be stifled the most by the slow half court game, as they were against Duke. As big as they are, they aren't as "tough" as a team like Arizona where a Krivas and Peat are more enforcing in the paint than Mara & Johnson. Duke out-rebounded Michigan 41-28. UM tends to be more finesse big than AZ, which is a more punch you in the mouth big. Krivas is tall and strong, Mara is tall and waiffy. Peat also plays the 4 with more brute force than Johnson. Yaxel is the tough matchup.

I do like AZ in this one, they feel like the tougher team. If they keep the pace on their side, force UM to the HC game, I think they win. Bradley on POA with Cadeau feels like a very favorable matchup for AZ as well.
