I put a little more burden on the talented lead guard to lead his team. St John Bosco was barely over .500 with three elite prospects (suffering most of their losses within the state of California, so the national schedule didn't have much to do with it). Now some of that could be bad coaching, or maybe just as much Hamilton's fault and/or the difficulty that the two of them had co-existing. But to me, if Dorsey is a top 10 recruit and has two scorers like Hamilton and Jackson around him, I want to see the team regularly win. Maybe that's not fair to put that burden on Dorsey, and maybe Adams wouldn't have been any better in that situation against that competition. But it gave me some pause about Dorsey as an elite (top 20) prospect as a lead guard if he wasn't able to get that team to win in high school. Not enough to turn him down by any means - it just means that perhaps he'd need to ride shotgun in college and he might not think of himself as a shotgun guy.
I will freely admit that this opinion is based on no direct observation or anything and might be completely offbase - but the fact that Dorsey's stock is dropping, and Arizona has looked elsewhere, is some circumstantial evidence to support my hunches. But, then again, Boat was on his way to WV until they took Hinds and we got the better end of that deal, so I'll trust the coaching staff to prioritize properly.
