Team had to adjust and get used to Big East physicality, officiating and coaching. We have a bunch of guys that have never seen those things. It’s different. They’re adjusting.

We've got a tough game at Creighton coming up Saturday - Creighton will probably be favored. Let's see how that goes and then talk.
If we beat Creighton on Saturday, do we run the table and go 6-0 the rest of the way? That would put us at 25-6 overall and 14-6 in the big east. After Creighton, the schedule appears to be (on paper at least) a lot easier...the hardest being Providence at home which by then Uconn will be gaining back further confidence in themselves.

Not if you post stuff like this we won't! We're doomed. Definitely doomed.

Almost all of the posts in this thread are irrationally exuberant distractions from the reality that games are prepped for, played, and won one-at-a-time, OR minor competitions for who has the most confident take on where the team is flawed, vulnerable, or beatable. Neither is helpful.

The post can't help itself from being a setup without positive possibility. Even if the OP had no such intention, it reveals itself as an open invitation for counterproductive fan energy.

Creighton, in Omaha, on Saturday, is the most important game of the season...until the 'must game' status automatically shifts to the following game after that. The process repeats itself until the season ends.

We may have the most talented squadi n the country looking at the entire roster.

But talent is not the same as consistency. Our up and down play throughout games is puzzling. We can look like we are unbeatable (Marquette) or look completely foolish (St. Johns).

The talent may be there, but the mental strength of this team is what is missing and that comes from the coaching staff.
UConn started the season on a high but fell apart after the 1st loss and haven't regained the mental toughness.
Beating Marquette was/is huge but we have to be honest and wonder what the outcome may have been had Marquette played like the real Marquette and also if they hit some shots. Yes, UConn played a part in Marquette's results, but Marquette was very flat.
I feel tomorrow's matchup to be more important to see if the team and DH can win a big game on the road.
It's been a while......................................
