Everybody wants to be the hero in games like that, I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on them. If you watched Cheli against Long Island Lutheran, it’s evident that she has the goods.

Yes, she got dizzy watching Cambridge try to go 1 on 5 most of the night.

Sarah Strong just flashed #1 talent on ESPN against Kelis Fisher and IMG Academy. Strong had 31 points and 19 rebs all while missing several minutes in the 3rd with some sort of leg injury that led her to the locker room. She hit 5 threes in smooth fashion. About the only mark was a bit too much forced dribbling into traffic.

Fisher looked very good at times, less so at others, but overall was a good showing.

Also, Lara Somfai was on the sidelines in sweats as she must be dealing with an injury, so that was disappointing.

Fisher: 13 points, 5 rebs, 2 blocks, 1 assist

Two out-of-control shots, but a great block, a couple of great drives.


Strong: 31 points (9-20 FG, 5-11 3-PT, 8-9 FT), 19 rebs, 3 assists

Strong noticeably not jumping or moving as well after returning from the knee/leg issue.

I hope the Coaching staff are back to recruiting Finley Chastain after news of her Tennessee de-commitment. I’m watching her on ESPNU against #1 LuHi and she’s really good, youngest player on the floor I believe.
