The UConn men's BB team has a higher APR than the women's BB team. And they won the NC the same year.

The point may be that the men's team is banned from post season play due to it's low APR in past seasons. Nice to see they've reversed the situation.

However, it is the "multi-year" number that the NCAA is concerned with, and the women are at a solid 990, the men still in the 800's. For the individual year, the men were "2" higher than the women, but this doesn't seem to be the number the NCAA is using.

You can search out teams, sports, conferences, etc. etc. at:

There are both multi-year and single year APR scores. For the 2010-2011 year, the UConn men's APR was 978 and the women's was 976. Nice improvement by the men's team.

Of course, the UConn men's two most recent multi-year scores of 893 and 889 caused it first to lose two scholarships and most recently to be banned from next year's NCAA tournament. The UConn women's two most recent multi-year scores were 990 and the women won two national championships while achieving a score of 990.

I know 1000 is a perfect score. The women at 976 for this past year...I wonder if the transfer of Michaela Johnson factors in at all?
Tiff did graduate....correct?

I believe Tiff had remaining course work. I thought we had a report of that couple of weeks ago.

1. The 976 is their score for the 2010-11 academic year, so Johnson's transfer is irrelevant.

2. Even if it were for this year, Tiff's graduation would be irrelevant. A student-athlete earns the same points for either graduating or for having the grades to remain eligible from an academic point of view.
