The issue is that you think there is only one way to procure that player, as part of a dated mindset and system. When the current system affords multiple ways of doing soLove the thought that doing things to help make better players would somehow disadvantage a program.
That train of thought falls off the tracks
I realize you get giddy off raising some HS player into a lottery pick through multi year development, but it's no more impressive than taking an underutilized transfer with potential and making that player better and productive for the program.
