#14, but note that after #11 there's a huge drop, then #12-15 are all within 40 points of each other.

Other notes:
- ISU and Creighton falling out the rankings is pretty bad for our resume, though Marquette up to #6 is a another top 10 signature win
 
Sanogo on the Big East Honor Roll for the 5th time to go along with his two PoW's.

Agreed. If we can win both games this week, I think we are a 4, no matter what happens in the BET. We are going to play a solid team in that 4/5 game. Don't think it would be considered a bad loss.

If we lose @Nova, a win in the BET win would go a long way to getting that 4. 3 seed takes 3-4 more wins IMO.

I personally think Jerry Palm (CBS) is more accurate than Lunardi. Palm put out his new bracket this morning. We are the top 3 seed on his line.

Lunardi has not put out a new bracket yet.

Only 2 anomalies I see in the poll are that Tennessee (they went 2-5 recently over a 7 game stretch and 1-4 over 5 games) didn't receive the UConn punishment.

And St. Marys, w/ losses to New Mexico, Colorado St and Loyola Marymount, and only 2 decent wins (San Diego St and Gonzaga) is ranked so high with 6 losses.

Would you rather be a 3 seed in say the Midwest with a potential 2-3 matchup with Texas, or a 4 seed in the East with a 1-4 matchup vs Kansas?

They go down the s-curve ("true seed list") in order, placing teams by geography in each seedline. After each seedline, they will go back and adjust if the balance is too far out of whack relative to the s-curve (ie top 2 is in the #1 overall bracket).

They also will put the first 4 teams from each conference in a different regional where possible (and then from there on opposite sides of the same regional by bumping up or down a seedline as necessary).
