Borges voted the good guys at 23 last week. This week, while basically stating that metrics are trash, he has UConn at 15. Marquette 6, Xavier 14 and Providence 20.

Putting Xavier ahead of UConn with that nonsense argument is special reasoning.

Maybe Syracuse should give their 2003 championship to UConn after getting handled 3x by UConn.

And UConn should give their 2011 championship to Louisville after getting blown out by them a couple times.

2014?

I have been thinking 15 all weekend but will agree 14 is also a possibility

I'll stick with my guess of 15. Pass Miami, Xavier, St Mary's

Should hopefully jump Virginia and Indiana too. Maybe Tennessee
I can see Tennessee. Indiana probably moves up since they beat Purdue on the road.

I think that's pretty aggressive to jump Virginia though, we were almost 800 points behind them. I know they lost twice but that would be a pretty massive fall. Not apples to apples since one loss was to a ranked Marquette, but we were #6 before our 0-2 week and we dropped 538 points in the polls. I guess we could gain enough points that it happens though

They're up to #9 today in the Massey College Basketball Ranking Composite, with an NCAA NET of 8. After last week's wins it wouldn't surprise me to see them jump into the 12-13 range, but I think just enough voters will go low to keep them around 15.

Seth has the good guys at 12.

Marquette 8, Creighton 18, Xavier 21, PC 23 for the Big East teams. All seems fine to me.

He’s also got Kentucky back in at 24.

Dropped Tennessee down to 25(!) from 13 in his rankings last week and Virginia all the way out (!!!!) from 10.

I think many voters see that UConn is surging and close to its early season form, and will overcorrect with so many top 25 teams losing last week. I believe we slot in at 13.

Not part of the AP Poll but here it is anyways

i

12. UConn Huskies (22-7)
Previous ranking:
14
This week: vs. DePaul (Wednesday), at Villanova (Saturday)

UConn is looking much more like the team that ticked off 14 straight wins to start the season -- just in time for its trip to Madison Square Garden for the Big East tournament, where the potential 5-seed might end up as the betting favorite. The Huskies are really clicking on the offensive end right now, coming off a week where they scored 182 points on 141 possessions, grabbing more than 50% of their misses and also shooting 19-for-46 from 3. Andre Jackson Jr. scored a career-high 15 points in two of his last three games, Joey Calcaterra found his shooting stroke against St. John's -- but it's Jordan Hawkins who is this team's offensive catalyst. He's now scored 20 points in three straight games (and four of his last five).

True, but I think Borzello - who puts the ESPN power rankings together - is an AP voter. Good sign of where he places UConn on his ballot.
