All or maybe all but a few here recite facts about games played 20 years ago as if the games were played yesterday. I hope you get many more great games and seasons to celebrate. That would have been taken into account in last week's poll. This past week, USC played Cal Poly and Cal State-Northridge, two Big West teams. I mean no offense to USC since most ranked teams use mid-majors to knock off the rust, just pointing out that the reason for the 1st place vote was last week, not this week and is, indeed, puzzling.
It's totally subjective and there are no specific criteria. That's why it's so exasperating that people get wound up over polls.
There are no. NET ratings at this point. They don’t start until about the time everybody has played ten games. Massey doesn’t drop ( mostly) it’s prior-season-bias until about the same time.
