If Dayton pulls off the Bluegrass State double, will they be anything more than just happy to be there against UConn?

Honest trivia question:

When was the last time a #7 seed faced a #1 seed in the regional finals in the NCAAW tourney?

I have no idea what the answer is at this moment.

Minnesota vs Duke in 2004 :(

.... not sure if it has happened since

Let me put it this way: I was pretty confident UConn could beat Kentucky, Louisville, or USF if the regionals got that far...but I'm even happier the Elite Eight opponent is Dayton.

That was a pretty bizarre performance by Louisville.

Gotta love the freedom Dayton plays with. Well coached and have a scoring mentality.

jim Jabir: "we're playing with house money and we'll do our best". So to answer my question, the Flyers will just be happy to be there against the Huskies.

Dayton played for the most part sound fundamental basketball in the 2nd half and then made their Free Throws. Dayton scored 52 points in the 2nd half. 11 in last two minutes of the game when Louisville started fouling.

Box Score: http://espn.go.com/ncw/boxscore?gameId=400786692

If Dayton plays like they did in the 1st half, UCOnn will have 25+ point lead unlike Louisville losing by 1 point at the half.

Refs calling a tight game - think the publicity after the last game had some effect. Dayton is well coached. And their band is awesome, lots of fun.
Good point about publicity from the last game. Silly of Louisville to get into penalty so early against a good foul shooting team. Not Mitchell' s best coaching job either.

Walz, super pissed, gives Dayton coach the quick shrug off
Walz was a little more than pissed; he was disrespectful and behaved like a bully. At first it just looked like he would petulantly zip past the Dayton coach but he deliberately stormed into his path shouldering the guy aside. While doing that, Walz kept his grip on the other guy's hand preventing him from disengaging Walz. What a baby! No wonder Louisville is getting a "reputation."
