The NYU women's team had the second-longest winning streak in college basketball history broken on Thursday, March 19, in Division III Final Four semifinals in Salem, Virginia.
NYU (31-0) and Scranton (29-0) had been on a collision course all season. NYU, back-to-back NCAA Division III national champions with three straight undefeated seasons, fell, 60-52, and had their 91-game streak broken.

The UConn women's basketball team holds the overall NCAA record for consecutive wins with an 111-game streak. The Huskies also have the second-longest streak at 90 games.
