He'll be a medical redshirt.

He's hopefully going to get a 6th year from the NCAA as he now has to sit out this year too. This extra strength shoulder harness won't be in until May 2018 so they will go with the 3 guards this year, but he should be really good from 2018-2022

you always get 5 years to play 4. You sometimes can get a medical exemption or hardship waiver to get 6 years to play 4.
