Any word on a new HC @ UConn yet?

Well, I am completely convinced that neither Moorehead nor Reno will get it. (Which of course means that one of them will probably be announced on Monday.)

But if it doesn't happen, and we all agree that Dan Mullen makes more than UConn can afford, and Ryan Carty is in the middle of a rocket ride like HCRE1.0 and has already beaten UConn on his first try, and the Delaware AD is likely to raise until UConn folds, then who? Kevin Cahill or a P4 Coordinator of which there are many who might fit?
If Mullen willing to leave I'll you can't let $1 million be the deal breaker. Shift money from somewhere else.

I’m sorry that’s incorrect. The correct answer was, Who is Boston College. Select again.
My distain for Boston College is second to no one, but they are merely a parasite in a bottom P4 conference, while Rutgers is managing to run a 70+ million dollar deficit, notwithstanding being in one of the two most lucrative conferences in college sports.

Torn on Smith. Great relationship with players which could buff our recruiting, but doesn’t have much experience and would the recruiting translate here at all?

Cahill’s still open and I think he’s the guy, JMU is hiring Napier.

People forget how important relationships are to building a good staff and recruiting players. The HC needs to manage the staff and team. Needs to let the Coordinators coach their side of the ball. Offer his input when necessary. So many people get caught up on not having a particular kind of experience.

You can hire a great offensive mind that helped to develop one of the best QBs in the NFL and your team will still suck. You can hire the next up and coming Belichick disciple and your team will still suck. You can hire this offensive coordinator or promote that one, and your team will still suck.

You can hire a local guy with connections that all the boosters want and your team will start to suck. Or you can hire the Broyles award winning DC and your team will suck even more! Or you can hire a coach with tons of HC experience that brought a team to the next level and your team will will be one of the worst in history.

But that's just one fans football experience. Hire the guy that all his players agree is the real deal.

so, regardless, we're in a 50/50 situation, whatever happens... Got it...
