You mean if Geno and Chris decided to retire? As long as Geno is coaching, it's gonna be tough to win anything unless of course you are on his team.

Dawn is a bit younger than Geno. If she chooses to stay at USC she can certainly build a strong program.

Throughout his coaching career, Geno has had his ups and downs as far as how dominate his teams have been. To his credit, he has been able to keep up an extremely high level of dominance since 2008 and I don't see that ending anytime soon, so yes your right, he might just continue this level of dominance until he does in fact retire..

Dominance typically involves snagging the top recruit in the nation. Whoever gets Wilson will get that player that can carry them to a championship.

That Wilson kid sure has a lot of burden put on her shoulders by people who have never seen her play COLLEGE
basketball. Didn't they say all these great things about Mercedes Russell, so far she seems pretty average, relative
to the expectation. For long stretch last year (before whatever they did at the end of the year to turn her around)
Stewart looked pretty uninspiring as well.

You never know what a high school player will do when they get to college. So many things affect play on the court - significant other problems, class worries, being away from home, etc.

My point exactly, or may be they don't turn out as good as people thought. The street is littered with people
who came with great potential, in all walk of life, sports or otherwise.

These rating services are pretty accurate for the top players. Many had Diamond Deshileds ranked number 1 and she has proven to be, IMO. Look at that past several years and I think that most will agree that the top recruits are pretty impactful, although not all as freshmen like Stewart.

Just look at how Baylor won all those national championships during the four years that top recruit B. Griner was there.

Yeah, but it's true more often than not. UConn's titles have come with Rebecca, Sue et al, Diana, Maya and Breanna. Tennessee's have come with Chamique and Candace. When they didn't have the nation's best, they had a down period.

First of all where ever she goes her coach will player her where she can be most effective. As good as Breanna is as a ball handler and passer I dont see her playing guard in the WNBA or college. Is Wilson better then Breanna? I dont think so. IMO what is it going to come down to is does she want to is where does she want to play. Im guessing but from what we've read it will be close to home ala USC or if it comes down to BB it will be UConn. USC got off to a fast start this season with a relatively easy schedule. What impact will Wilson have as a freshman? Take a look at some of the other bigs to come around over the past few years and see what impact they had as freshman? It takes time for Bigs to develop. Breanna was at a different level then most HS POY. She plays like a guard at 6'4. Most bigs dont.

Wilson and her parents will make their decision in April and if she decides to go to USC Uconn will still be number 1 in WCBB and if she decides to go to UConn then UConn will still be number 1 in WCBB, because no body is going to stop Breanna Stewart.

This is the first time I'm viewing this thread. After all I knew there were no updates on Wilson, who made it clear she would decide in the spring. Then I wondered how this thread could get so long without any new information and I had to check.

The answer: USC, Tennessee and Baylor fans having an amiable chat with each other on an opponent's message board.

Only on the Boneyard.

They will only be good if they play as a team. Look at some of the top players on the top teams right now. Why do those teams struggle with all that talent? They play as individuals and not as a team. Some to much one on one. Some no defense. Some lack of focus. That doesnt happen as often at UConn and why UConn has done what theyve done. Dawn is a good coach and USC had a good season so far. However some would argue they started like a lion and finished like a lamb. If Wilson decides to play for USC they will have a nice roster of players. I can tell you Bianca is very good. They question is will the chemistry be there. It will be interesting. If it were me and my daugter. I would have her play for UConn because she could fit right into their system and be productive within the team. Looking at some of the top freshman this season and last season. They arent as productive within the team concept as they should be but are productive as individual scorers. Big difference.

Tony, you state the reason that UCONN Fans should not be worried about a team like North Carolina which has a lot of individual talent, but as yet not learned how to play as a team. NC better hope that they are not in UCONN'S or Notre Dame's regional because they would have absolutely no chance of getting to the final four. A team that does not play as a team is not going to beat either one of those teams.

3/4 who would benefit from a full motion offense. She is not a guard at the speed of the next level if she wants to compete with elite teams.

I don't know much about DS as a coach; looking forward to finding out more. I know she's a good recruiter, but as a match for Geno or Muffit, time will tell.

I never said anything about playing time?? If Aja wants to play guard, I'm sure Geno can fit her into that spot very easily..
No, Geno will will play her where her skills are best used and her liabilities are best hidden or developed. She will earn every minute on the court in practice. Geno makes no promises other than an opportunity for hard work and to compete. The right kids take that option.

Good observation. This is a perfect example of one player with all the potential in the world and a player who should dominate WCBB and in most fans opinions win several NCs and doesn't and the question is why. Well its a simple answer. No team ball. To much dependence on having one player do it all and when she has an off night the team does not adjust. BB is a team sport and must be played as a team for the team to be effective and win. That didnt happen and thats why LVille beat Baylor. When the going got tuff it was Sims that stepped up and she almost pulled it off all by herself. When you look at all the top teams this year I look at team chemistry experience and unselfishness. Those are the teams that should advance. JMO

She has been working hard at bulking up; she knows she'll have to be strong in the post or on the wing. :) New term: three guard!

I If you have some kind of insider info on how Geno recruits his players then I'd love to know..

Geno has said quite a few times how he recruits. Apparently you never heard him speak of it- thus it's a bit outrageous why you are arguing on this site how he'll recruit. Your below comment in italics is the antithesis of how he has said he recruits. No offense- but do we believe him who has spoken how he recruits or do we believe a Tenn fan that is making assumptions as to how he'd recruit and then projecting it on Geno?

"Aja is the type of elite player that can pretty much choose what position she wants to play...."

Please tell which players in the past you think has dictated to Geno where she wants to play and he has acquiesced.
