OT: Any Songs Involving The Night - Dreams, Sleeping, the Stars, etc.

One more. They have several songs about dreams. It's not in the title in this one, but prominently featured in the chorus "to dream those dreams away"

I fall asleep on the ocean’s bed
To dream where I belong
In the kingdom by the sea

I remember this haunting little jazzy song got some good air play in the 70's along the front range in Colorado:

Another one I’m surprised hasn’t appeared yet. Sam Cooke died before I was aware of anything. I learned of him listening to the Animals (Bring it on Home to Me), and his singing took my breath away the first time I heard him, probably on WABC or WNBC. I still think he’s one of the best rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, gospel singers to ever live.

As always is the case if you come late to this thread, it seems like every idea you have someone has already posted. I had to go pretty deep in the well for this one.

I'm not saying it's a great song, but I like the movie.

"Bricks don't hit back."

Along the same lines as maybe not a 'great song' (Although the YT view count would indicate otherwise), but only for my personal tastes.
It isn't in my iTunes library and I probably wouldn't search it out to listen to.
OneRepublic - Counting Stars
It was played WAY too many times a few years ago on the (syndicated) soft rock station my workplace radio was tuned to and I've heard it enough.
BUT...it does meet the criteria for the thread and I don't think it's been posted here:

"Lately, I been, I been losin' sleep
Dreamin' about the things that we could be
But, baby, I been, I been prayin' hard
Said, "No more countin' dollars, we'll be countin' stars
Yeah, we'll be countin' stars
"

Stars in the Yard - beautiful piano tune, I used to hear it on a Sunday morning jazz show a lot:

I’d been thinking of this one but couldn’t remember the name. It’s about a woman whose love is off to sea. In her sleep he comes to her and it turns out it’s his ghost.

Tim Hart and Maddy Prior released two spectacular albums before founding Steeleye Span, this is from the second. There’s something to be said for an a capella song by two great singers.

Here’s another about a young woman being visited in her sleep by the ghost of an absent love. This one is from American traditional singer Connie Dover.

You may like this Beck and Cooke "digital collaboration."

Heard this while driving around in my car a little while ago. Oh yeah, that song. I do recall liking it, but honestly wouldn't have come up with it on my own without the reminder.
