Any Braylon Mullins medical update

Samson suffered a concussion vs Gonzaga last year where it looked like he got knocked out cold. The game was on a Saturday, he missed the Xavier game on a Tuesday and then was back vs Butler on a Saturday.

Yeah unless real severe it’s a week. His didn’t look severe.

My thought is he wouldn't be flying out there if there was any concern at this point and we did see him on the bench last game. I'm hopeful, but if he's out for Creighton or not there at all I won't be too surprised. As lots of folks have said it's important they take as long as needed.

Why the fights? I never been in a fight in my life. Maybe pushing back and forth but never a real fight just not trying to back down.

Coming off the bench wouldn’t mean limited minutes necessarily.

I'm not sure if it was one specific thing. I'd guess it was a combination of having an abusive father , a smart mouth , drinking and drugs, getting involved with groups of people that gravitated towards these kinds of things , I enjoyed the challenge of fighting and the rush that I got from it. I think once i established that sort of reputation, people wanted to challenge me . I was never the biggest , strongest or fastest ( I'm about 6 ft 2 inches 220lbs) but I was very athletic, great instincts and treated every fight ( up until the last few) like the person was going to kill me if I didn't try to do everything I could to cripple them. I really don't think 75 fights is a lot , I'm probably underestimating to be honest with you. One fight a month for six years is 72 and I'm pretty sure it was more often than that.
I feel them all now though. Hopefully whatever brain damage I have doesn't completely wipe my memories out before I die..

Concussions are still very largely a mystery and no two are truly alike. It is after all a brain injury. I've seen people feel fine and look like they're passed the worst part and take what looks like almost no contact and bang, they're back in the protocol and because in is two times in a week or two, the rest of the season is in jeopardy.
Again, on the board we have talked about Mullins potential, projection in the draft and if the school is ever even perceived, whether true or not, as hurting his draft stock because he may have been 'rushed' back to early, it could have an huge impact on recruiting down the road. It used to be different, but all the big money has changed things and there are other considerations, sadly.
